The Rancho Santa Fe Association founded in 1927, ensures the preservation of the rural character of the Rancho Santa Fe Covenant area (see map at bottom) and its natural landscape of approx. 6,200 acres.
The Association operates and maintains the golf course, tennis club, playing fields, and riding and hiking trails for the benefit of its members.
Winding driveways lead to California ranch, traditionally styled Tudor, country French and Spanish Mediterranean style homes.
Sidewalks and street lights are banned from all residential areas in the Covenant.
The low-humidity, balmy climate is ideal for the relaxed outdoor life for which “the Ranch” is known.
There are many different and distinctive architectural styles of Rancho Santa Fe homes presented throughout its roads, many of which are horse ranches and or gated estates – as you might expect from the median price index.
Many of the original Rancho Santa Fe covenant homes that were built in the 1950’s and ’60’s are being torn down (scraped) and being replaced with luxury new estates. These new homes come with all the modern amenities and finishes, that the discerning Rancho Santa Fe luxury home buyer might desire.
Here the satellites have captured 3 new Rancho Santa Fe luxury homes in the process of construction within yards of each other in the heart of the Covenant.
