Lower Hermosa has delightful quiet, wide, palm lined streets and is one of the nicest residential areas in La Jolla developed from the 1920's through to 1980.
Lower Hermosa is bordered on the east by La Jolla Boulevard on on the west by the Pacific Ocean.
The neighborhood has short cliffs and sandy beaches. Camino De La Costa (The Street of Dreams) runs parallel with the ocean with homes on the west side of the street right on the ocean, some with direct access to the simply lovely sandy beach that runs along part of this neighborhood (mainly to the north).
